SKODA has transferred the big-selling Monte Carlo treatment first seen on the Fabia to its little brother, the Citigo. The Citigo Monte Carlo is based on the mid-range SE trim, but boasts stand-out black detailing including larger 15-inch alloy wheels, front and rear spoilers, a rear mock diffuser, grille and door mirrors. Inside the cabin the changes include a 'sports' steering wheel and Monte Carlo red/black upholstery.
Mazda is reportedly pulling out of a joint manufacturing venture with Ford Motor Co. that was thought to be unprofitable for the Japanese carmaker. The site, AutoAlliance International, is about 25 miles south of Detroit and makes the Mazda 6 and the Ford Mustang.
In summer last year ten students from the Master's course in Transportation Design at the Scuola Polytecnica Milan took part in a project for FIAT. The work developed from a briefing by the FIAT Advanced Design Centre, taking into consideration the dimensional and content restrictions.
